Liberals love to hate Liberty Watch
Inside Liberty Watch Today - August 16, 2006
A few of you have e-mailed me about liberal twins Jon Ralston and Steve Sebelius, who went on an attack binge against me yesterday. Both of these "journalists" are angry Democrats and they will do and say anything to marginalize any conservative. I just happen to be an easy and visible target because I publish Liberty Watch: The Magazine.
I'm a conservative who threatens the liberal agenda. Since we started Liberty Watch: The Magazine, they have attacked me or the magazine on a regular basis, which is OK because we enjoy press. Hell, I don't want them to stop now; these clowns are responsible for a quarter of our subscriptions every time they pound me. They help expand the conservative movement.
One thing I find hilarious is each time either writes about me, after 700 words of love and affection they conclude by saying I'm not worth writing about. For instance, Ralston yesterday ended his love letter to me by writing "I generally have ignored Harris." In case you don't know who Ralston is, he's a local columnist for an insert paper and has a cable television show that, according to the latest Nielsen ratings, has a viewership of just 130 people.
Ralston can take the truth and turn it into a fairy tale. Yesterday, he inferred Liberty Watch: The Magazine was an illegal enterprise and that our columnists were faux journalists. He also accused me of being a shill for my favorite candidates. First, I've never claimed to be a journalist, and of course I will promote any like-minded person out there. I'm also going to earn money doing it. After all, I'm a businessman.
Ralston never points how he pimps out his Ralston Report, which is an insider's look into how a liberal journalist views politics in Nevada. But Ralston is right. I'll write a "true" favorable story about any Republican candidate and I'll ask for their help to pay the postage into the district they are running because Republicans will never ever have the truth told about them by the liberal media. So yep Jonny, Liberty Watch: The Magazine is a safety valve against you're gifted storytelling.
Now, on to Steve Sebelius. I don't really know much about this man. He never attempts to contact me when penning stories that criticize me, so we never have had a good chance to chat. All I know is that he's a portly gay fella and, being portly myself, I know portly. This little piggy is fixated on me, which again is great press for the magazine because he likes to take our cover stories and dissect them in his CityLife - a freebie weekly throwaway. His publication, I must admit, is famous. The local police vice detail uses it to identify prostitution rings that advertise in its back pages. Other than that, Sebelius is only know for being Ralston's lapdog. That's why the boys spend so much time writing about me. That and it drives them nuts that someone with zero journalistic experience can run a magazine better then either of them.
For the record, Liberty Watch is a conservative magazine. That's what neither of them understands. We're succeeding with a project that Ralston and Sebelius - both employees of large newspaper chains - could never succeed with on their own. They have no clue about how to run a business. Ralston was going broke with his Ralston Report before the Greenspun Media Group bailed him out, which brings me to my final thought. As a businessman, I do everything I can to ensure Liberty Watch: The Magazine is around forever because it's what the market needs and we've proven that. I'm an owner, not an employee and I have to meet a payroll. When I make a mistake I pay for it out of pocket and that's the difference.
