Real or an Illusion: Penn & Teller get fooled

It would appear that the best magicians are not in Las Vegas - they're in Washington D.C. Sadly the illusions created by the federal government are typically done at the expense of countless innocent lives.

John F. Kennedy was a victim of this evil wand. His assassination was conducted by the CIA, who then pinned the dirty deed on a "lone gunman."

The government illusion came from the Warren Commission, which issued a report claiming Lee H. Oswald did it all on his own, despite damning evidence in the contrary. In fact, the evidence points to a conspiracy.

But the general public eats up the government fiction, including Penn & Teller. The popular Las Vegas magicians have even rebutted the JFK conspiracy theories on their television show, Penn & Teller: Bullshit!

CIA involvement in the JFK assassination is well documented. Anyone putting just a slight effort toward understanding what happened on Nov. 22, 1963 learns the truth - JFK was executed by the powers that be.

Penn & Teller hastily did a war hero, promoter of peace, and beloved president the disservice of "proving" the conspiracy theories wrong. They did it by shooting a rifle three times fast, and then shooting a melon in slow motion.

Others have put far more research into what really happened. Before writing off JFK's assassination as the act of a lone mad man, do your research!

A great place to start is by reading James W. Douglass' book JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died & why it Matters. It is the most up to date book on the topic of JFK's death.

The truth is well documented!

Of course to accept the truth, one must also understand that we cannot trust our government, and many government leaders must be put on trial for corruption beyond belief. That's a hard truth to swallow.

John F. Kennedy Half Dollars: Silver to Scrap

Succeeding the Franklin half dollar, the Kennedy half dollar is a coin of the U.S. first minted in 1964, the year following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It features the face of JFK on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. The 1964 Kennedy half dollar is 90 percent silver/10 percent copper. In 1965 the silver content was reduced to 40 percent silver and 60 percent copper. In 1971 the composition was changed a final time to 75 percent copper/25 percent nickel.

Silver half dollars are worth much more than their face value, while the copper version has a melt value of a few cents!

JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died & why it Matters

Along with over ten years of meticulous research and one hundred pages of footnotes, this book has soul. For those tempted to despair that our national leaders are not capable of turning our nation toward peace, this book tells us how it has already happened. John F. Kennedy was taking stands for peace that risked his life as well as his presidency and it seems that the nation hardly noticed. For those who are willing to engage in hard-headed thinking and research, this book will belie the ho-hum assumption that we will never know why Kennedy was killed nor who is responsible. We can know and we need to know as citizens. If you can read only one book on the life of JFK, this is it.

John F. Kennedy received a Navy and Marine Corps Medal under the following citation:

For extremely heroic conduct as Commanding Officer of Motor Torpedo Boat 109 following the collision and sinking of that vessel in the Pacific War Theater on August 12, 1943. Unmindful of personal danger, Lieutenant (then Lieutenant, Junior Grade) Kennedy unhesitatingly braved the difficulties and hazards of darkness to direct rescue operations, swimming many hours to secure aid and food after he had succeeded in getting his crew ashore. His outstanding courage, endurance and leadership contributed to the saving of several lives and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
(Kennedy would joke that getting the metal was involuntary - they sank his boat.)
