Why does Gibbons even need to show up for a debate?
Liberty Watch and the media in general are the only ones who want Jim Gibbons to show up for a debate. Well, you guys and the other loser candidates.
In your February article "Calling Congressman Gibbons," you make a big to-do about Jim not showing up to an educational debate at some Las Vegas high school. Was this the only angle you could find?
Jim has no reason to make an appearance. He's in the lead and knows that no one really cares what he has to say about any issue this early in the game. The election isn't on anyone's mind. It's still a solid eight months away!
Jim is a good congressman and a good Nevadan. He's built his character over decades of service to the state and to the country. While outlets like yours intend to bruise his image, try to understand that no one is listening.

If this letter reaches print that means
Liberty Watch made it a whole
year
I just wrapped up your February issue. It arrived exceptionally late in my mailbox, which led me to believe that maybe the magazine folded. Not the case.
I have to say (and this depends on whether or not this letter reaches your 12th issue),
Liberty Watch proved me wrong. So many publications make a somber showing and fold before they even see their first birthday. Somehow you've made it happen.
The magazine continues to look and read better with each issue. Something is working well, so whatever that something is, keep it up.

Don't attack lobbyists? Attack
everyone involved in bribery
Walter Williams is a moron. Plain and simple.
Confronting politicians instead of lobbyists to solve corruption is absurd ["Wrong battle," February]. Rather than attack one party, penalize all parties.
That's a real solution. Plain and simple.
