On Jan. 3, Senator Bob Beers, Republican candidate for governor, announced several key members of his gubernatorial strategic team.
Todd Schnick, of the Strategum Group, will serve as general consultant to the campaign. Schnick is a former Executive Director of the Nevada Republican Party and was the Executive Director of the Georgia Republican Party when Republican Sonny Perdue, outspent 10 to one, upset incumbent Governor Roy Barnes in 2002. The Strategum Group is a full service political consulting firm with 33 clients in seven states.
The Tarrance Group, with lead consultant Brian Tringali, will serve as campaign pollster and strategic consultant. The Tarrance Group is one of the most respected and successful Republican survey research and strategic consultants in American politics today. The Tarrance Group was the pollster for several upset victories, including Governor Linda Lingle's win in Hawaii and Governor Sonny Perdue's win in Georgia. They also conducted critical, and accurate, presidential tracking in several targeted Midwestern states in 2004.
BrabenderCox, with lead consultant John Brabender, will serve as media and strategic consultant. BrabenderCox has been recognized as the most creative media firm in the country, winning five statewide elections in 2004, including the upset victories of U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) and Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett. During the last four election cycles, BrabenderCox has been honored with more awards for creative excellence than any other political media firm in the country.
"I am extremely fortunate to have built a very strong and nationally recognized strategic consulting team," Beers said. "The people and the media have begun to take notice of our 'surprisingly aggressive primary campaign. This strong team, coupled with our campaign of ideas and common sense solutions, will force people to reckon with our grassroots, citizen-based effort." LW
